Jeremy Riddle - Winemaker/Proprietor

Riddle Wines was born because I wanted to make wine that is the purest form of what the vineyard, harvest and climate created. Cutting out any additions or heavy-handed winemaking methods is the best way I know how to do it. I obsess about my wine and even sleep near my barrels most of the year. I work with vineyard owners who put their passion and knowledge into the vines and don’t use any herbicides or pesticides. I source from vineyards that practice methods that take the whole vineyard biosystem into account: the roots, birds, flora and microbes. I constantly want to grow and collaborate with other passionate growers and winemakers. My fear is stagnancy and I’m a bit insatiable. At the end of the day I am an old school and nerdy winemaker that is pursuing the perfect wine.
